Happy hour just got happier with pub crawls and nightlife activities from across the globe.

Beer goggles aside, I’m a firm believer in having another drink as long as the drinking remains social. Now, I have nothing against those who preach against the evils of alcohol, and people will rarely hear me wax poetic on the positives of drinking. I do, however, feel that it’s such a waste to not actively participate in a situation, especially one that promises to be fun. A pub crawl is exactly that—social, fun, and a slew of other adjectives that mutate into their superlative forms mostly due to alcohol’s involvement in the process. Ditto for other nightlife activities such as clubbing, cabaret, live music, concerts, dinner theater, and so on.

For some tried and tested pub crawls around the world, here are my recommendations:

•    Prague Pub Crawl, one of the largest organized pub crawls in Europe. The meeting point is at the Pub Crawl Bar, where a welcome shot of Bohemian Absinthe, unlimited Czech Beer, Moravian Wine and vodka shooters await the lucky participants of this pub crawl. Highlights include free VIP entrance to Karlovy Lazne, free welcome party shot at each venue, and original Pub Crawl T-shirts for the ladies.

•   Ultimate Party Pub Crawl Amsterdam, which includes 5 dance bars and clubs (no cover charges), 5 free drinks (beer, wine and soda), vodka shots on the road, unlimited free house shots between 8:30pm and 9pm, drink specials at each venue, and the services of professional guides. This pub crawl happens every Sunday to Friday, 8:30pm at Dan Murphy’s on Leidsestraat 24.

•   East Village Pub Crawl, which involves a visit to different pubs including Old Town Bar, Pete’s Tavern and McSorley’s Old Ale House. This pub crawl comes with three complimentary drinks, (domestic beers) that are quite popular among New Yorkers.
